2011-2016
Worked as a senior exterior designer in the core design team during tesla’s formative years. contributed to all vehicle and accessory programs from exterior to interior and lead the design of multiple parts and systems.
Reporting to Chief design exec Franz von holzhausen and presenting frequently to elon musk.
Key vehicle project contributions: 1st gen Model S production vehicle parts, Model X concept & production, Model 3 concept & production, 2nd gen Model S, Model Y concept.
Other design contributions as a member of the team: Supercharger station, SpaceX industrial design support, Hyperloop design ideation.
Model X concept was my first project. Had a chance to contribute to detail design and refinement, such as the steering wheel design with capacitive touch screens, before commencing the actual production vehicle program.

For the Model X production vehicle I worked on alternative exterior design themes, explored new proportions, new interior themes, seats, the whole headliner system, exterior lights and wheels.
Model 3
A multi-year project. A goal of making the best vehicle on planet. Questioning everything. Multiple exterior and interior proposals, proportion studies, technology explorations, mock-ups, prototypes, 1:4 & 1:1 clay and foam models. Validations, presentations, critiques and countless hours of scrutinizing engineering meetings.
